Analysis And Evaluation Of The Supply Chain Management

I. Introduction This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Globe Simulation Tool after being tested for a period of 10 weeks. The SCM Globe is a simulation that displays the four main entities of a supply chain (product, facilities, vehicles and routes). The main goal of this simulation is that users can figure out how to make a supply chain run 20-30 days with no disruptions and then make the supply chain run for the same period of time at the lowest operating cost and the lowest amount of on-hand inventory; which will be the challenge for any supply chain manager. The supply chain used to analyze the different data was Cincinnati Seasonings Supply Chain case study. The methods of analysis used for the SCM Globe Simulation Tool evaluation were based on simulation user-friendliness; simulation outcomes comprehension; challenges; benefit; drawbacks, as well as lessons learned and recommendations. After loading the Cincinnati Seasonings Supply Chain case study into the SCM Globe simulation, it displays multiple icons of the different facilities, routes and vehicles on Google Map, making the simulation very visual and realistic. The simulation also shows graphics and statistics of the different results. For each simulation the user runs, this data can be exported into a computer for better analysis. The SCM Globe simulation gives the user a comprehensive picture of the supply chain they are working on, which allows them to editShow MoreRelatedThe Supply Chain Management Process1732 Words   |  7 PagesIntroduction The processes involved in the supply chain are very critical to the business organization.
